MementoPix Inc. offers access to the following (“Services”): a website, a publisher portal, an online photo book editor and a photo uploader application.
These Services are accessible via an internet browser to printing and photography organizations (“Publishers”) and designated individuals including schools employees and designated volunteers (“Schools”), parents/guardians (“Parents”) and students (“Students”) for the creation of yearbooks or other types of photo-based memory books.
MementoPix’ Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect and use images, photos, hyperlinks, email addresses, physical addresses, names, phone numbers, or any type of text submitted through our Service, and how we store, access and use web cookies, email, newsletters, telephone services, traditional mail or any other type of communication when we or you connect with us (all referred as Content).
This Policy is subject and bound to MementoPix Terms of Use. Each time that you access our Services and Content you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the MementoPix Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By accessing and using our Services, the User agrees to be bound by these Terms. If the User does not agree to be bound by the Terms, then the User should not use any MementoPix Services.
WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?
MementoPix collects personal information from you when you submit Content using our Services (as described in the Terms of Use). We also collect information such as name, email, phone number and address when you communicate with MementoPix Support Services and MementoPix Sales Services, and interact with MementoPix social network accounts.
While using our Services, we use several technologies including but not limited to web cookies, tracking pixels, embedded scripts to make our Services work and learn about your usage pattern. We also receive and may collect your IP address, device token and system configuration.
USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION AND CONTENT BY MEMENTOPIX
MementoPix uses collected information and posted Content to learn about your usage pattern to improve our product towards the goal of improving the speed and convenience of building photo books or accessing support tools and services. MementoPix does not sell, rent or distribute information or Content to third parties.
USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION BY PUBLISHERS, SCHOOLS, PARENTS, AND STUDENTS
Publishers, Schools, Parents, and Students who have access to MementoPix Services must follow, obey all rules & regulations pertaining to the protection of Content as described in the Terms of Use.
INFORMATION COLLECTION OPT-OUT
You may opt out at any time from receiving promotional communication from MementoPix. You may withdraw your consent for all collected information and Content you have submitted/uploaded – your account submitted information and posted Content will be removed at which time you will not be able to use or access MementoPix Services.
CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY ACT
MementoPix enforces a strong mechanism in its Services to ensure that children protected by local, regional or national online privacy legislation or regulations will not be able to submit information or Content without verifiable parental/guardian consent. Since MementoPix is committed to the principles of child online privacy protection, we offer the same services to Members who do not have any formal regulations or laws should they wish to make use of them.
DATA BREACH COMPLIANCE PROGRAM
Privacy breaches will be reported within 72 hours of us being first aware of it to the impacted individuals. A breach can be defined (but not limited) a hack or infiltration of our network, accidental access by an employee with not the proper security access or data thieves. Our protocol is as follows:
- Stop the breach immediately by any means necessary.
- Assess the damage by analyzing what the breach was exactly.
- Notify all individuals impacted if any.
- Complete an internal security audit.
- Implement added security measures learned from the breach to protect the data.
- Update our plan in case of a future breach.
- Update our employees on the new plan.
